Prof. Yuri Gulyaev

     Full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), member of the Presidium of RAS, Scientific Adviser of Kotelnikov Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics RAS (IRE RAS),Director of the Institute of Microelectronics Nanotechnology, Head of Solid State Electronics and Radio Physics Chair at MIPT, Editor in Chief of "Radio Engineering and Electronics" and "Biomedical Electronics" journals. President of Prokhorov Engineering Academy of the Russian Federation, President of International and Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations, a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Foundation "Skolkovo".

     He is well known in the World specialist in the field of solid state physics, radio physics, electronics and information technology, one of the founders of such scientific directions as acoustoelectronics, acousto-optics, spin-wave electronics. His results are widely used in the new technologies of data processing and telecommunications.

     He made a large number of investigations on accurate measurements and dynamic mapping of physical fields and radiation of the human body for the purpose of early medical diagnosis, the author of about 400 articles, 4 monographs and more than 60 Inventor's Certificates and patents.

Prof. Alexander Kholodov

    Corresponding Member RAS, Director of the Institute for Computer Aided Design RAS (ICAD RAS), Head of Computational Mathematics Chair at MIPT, Coordinator of the specializations "Numerical simulation in mechanics, biomechanics and physiology" and "Applied computational models and software systems" at MIPT. Member of the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB).

       One of the leading specialists in Russia with world-level achievements in the field of mathematical modeling and the development of numerical methods for solving problems of hydro-gas dynamics and biophysics. Under his leadership, the specialists from ICAD RAS and Computational Mathematics Chair, MIPT jointly with specialists IRTC "Eye Microsurgery" (Ophthalmology Centre), Moscow Research Institute of Oncology (Hertsen Institute), Hematology Research Center, Burdenko Main Military Clinical Hospital, actively develop methods for mathematical modeling in the field of biomechanics and related medical applications. Jointly with the specialists from IRTC "Eye Microsurgery" (S.N. Fedorov et al.) there were carried out a series of works on mathematical modeling of the most critical phases during microsurgical operations on cataract extraction in order to find the optimal regimes for their executing and improve microsurgical

 instruments. By his team the investigations are successfully  carried out on numerical simulation of wave processes in complex branching systems (wave and diffusion processes on graphs), the global computational models of circulatory and respiratory systems, taking into account the interaction of these systems and transfer of substances, are developed, as well as related problems of human physiology are considered. He is the author of several patents, including (jointly with S.N. Fyodorov) patent for the invention "Method of extracapsular cataract extraction» (SU 1454455).

Prof. Vladimir Cherepenin

     Corresponding Member RAS, Deputy Director of IRE RAS, Head of Laboratory of Mathematical Methods for Radiophysics IRE RAS, Professor of Physics Department, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

       А leading expert of Russia with the world level achievements in the application of information technology in radio physics and physical electronics, the development of new principles of amplifiers and generators of electromagnetic radiation by relativistic electron beams. He developed the principles of interaction of multi-terawatt radiation by femtosecond lasers with micro and nanofilms, allowing to create equipment for producing pulses of coherent radiation by X-ray or gamma-ray wavelengths. He and his team also developed new methods for quasi-static electromagnetic tomography (including magnetic induction tomography) have been applied in the creation of a new generation of medical devices based on new physical principles. He is the author of a number of Russian and international patents, including a patent for an invention (RU2153285) electric mammography device allowing you to visualize and diagnose the pathological changes in the tissues of the breast and other organs that are placed closely to the surface of the human body.

     Оne of the leading specialists in Russia with world level achievements in the field of mathematical modeling of complex physical processes (dynamic strength, geodynamics, medicine, anti-terrorism problems) using high performance computing, the author of over 200 publications in Russian and international editions. Igor Petrov developed a grid-characteristic method and hybrid grid-characteristic schemes for the numerical solution of multi-dimensional dynamic problems of deformable solid mechanics with different flow characteristics for a wide range of pressures and temperatures using regular mobile and irregular computational grids. He and his team have the great experience in understanding of wave propagation processes and wave front geometry in heterogeneous continuous media. By him and his team numerical solutions of a wide class of problems in biomechanics with medical applications are obtained. He is the author a number of works on numerical modeling of  craniocerebral trauma sequela, as well as on numerical modeling of dynamic processes in the eye under ultrasound and laser cataract extraction.

Prof. Sanjiv Dhingra

     Director of Canada Italy Tissue Engineering Laboratory (CITEL) in St. Boniface General Hospital, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada.

     Prior to joining as a faculty member in The University of Manitoba,

Dr. Dhingra received postdoctoral training in McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine, Toronto General Hospital and in St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre in Winnipeg. His research interests are focused on post-myocardial infarction cardiac regeneration and tissue engineering by stem cell therapy. Specifically he is interested in understanding host immune response and survival pattern of donor cells following transplantation in the injured heart. His team is working to develop clinically relevant strategies to increase host immune tolerance to prevent the rejection of transplanted allogeneic stem cells into the injured heart. Based on his research Dr. Dhingra received several awards and honors. In October 2007, Dr. Dhingra received an award from Life Science Association of Manitoba for his contribution to cardiovascular research. Recently he received Young Investigator Award at American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Los Angeles. Dr. Dhingra has published several papers in peer reviewed journals, and presented his work in national and international conferences. 

Prof. Brian Derby

  • Professor of Materials Science, University of Manchester.

  • Director of the Manchester Centre for Digital Fabrication, School of Materials, University of Manchester.

       His research interests include the physics and mechanics of inkjet printing and digital fabrication of functional and structural materials. He is a pioneer in the field of biofabrication and his group was one of the first to successfully print human cells and characterise their survival and viability after printing. His current projects focus on bioprinting for regenerative medicine and organ- on-a-chip applications.

Prof. Konstantin  Agladze

     MIPT Professor, Professor of Kyoto University (Japan), Head of Laboratory on nanoconstructing of membrane-protein complexes for control of cell physiology, in the frame work of Interdisciplinary Research and Education Centre "Bionanofizika”, MIPT.

       The main direction of ​​his team activities is tissue engineering of heart: the creation of artificial patches of heart tissue, potentially acceptable for implantation and replacement of damaged zones of the heart, and investigation of the processes that lead to dangerous cardiac arrhythmias. He is leading specialist in Russia with the world level achievements in the field of biophysics of excitable media (including behavioral features of autowave reverberator), tissue engineering of heart, theoretical and experimental of low-voltage defibrillation reasoning. One of the first he used Belousov - Zhabotinsky reaction as "chemical computer". He demonstrated that the wave environment could be used for image processing and solving optimization problems. The author of a number of patents, including patent on the invention of "surface-active photosensitizer, which is a bromide, 2- {4 - [(E) -2- (4-ethoxyphenyl) vinyl] phenoxy} -n, n, n-trimetiletamanamina (with -tab) » (RU 2515502). 

Designed chemical compound has a structure allowing to modify the excitability of cardiac and neural tissue by blocking ion channels of cells and can be used in preclinical anti-arrhythmic drugs investigations under creating new different model systems.
